The new Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) plant being constructed in the Jebal Ali Power Station (JAPS) is a brown field sea water desalination plant with a capacity of 40 million imperial gallons per day (MIGD).

Alucor has executed the design and fabrication of limestone duplex pressure vessels for this project. The vessels utilized duplex stainless steel, as opposed to carbon steel, which posed challenges in terms of material procurement and required specialized welding. Nevertheless, our employees fabricated the vessels to the highest standards, in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) U-Stamp requirements. The delivery of the vessels to the JAPS site was successfully completed in July 2020.
